The Alan Parsons Live Project is the touring band led by Alan Parsons, the English producer and engineer born in 1948 in Willesden, London. Parsons cut his teeth at Abbey Road Studios, engineering The Beatles' Abbey Road and Pink Floyd's The Dark Side of the Moon before launching the Alan Parsons Project in 1975 with songwriter Eric Woolfson. That studio-only group released ten albums between 1976 and 1987, including I Robot, Pyramid and Eye in the Sky, but famously never toured in its heyday. Parsons finally took the material on the road in 1999, and in 2019 won a Grammy for the immersive-audio reissue of Eye in the Sky. The Live Project recreates the Project's lush progressive rock with a rotating band worldwide.
