Tha Alkaholiks — also known as Tha Liks — are an American hip hop trio from Los Angeles who have been making party music with a hardcore hip hop edge since the early 1990s. The group is built on the beats and rhymes of E-Swift, a DJ, producer and rapper born Eric Brooks in Columbus, Georgia and raised in Toledo, Ohio, alongside the rhymes of J-Ro, born James Robinson in Los Angeles, and Tash, born Rico Smith in Columbus, Ohio. Commercial crossover success largely eluded them, but they kept a dedicated following on the West Coast, across the United States and worldwide, and three of their songs appeared on the compilation Loud Rocks.
