Tash Sultana is an Australian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Melbourne, born in 1995 and known as a one-person band. Gender-fluid and using they/them pronouns, Sultana builds songs live through looping, playing up to fifteen instruments across a palette of psychedelic rock, reggae, soul, R&B and hip hop. They rose to prominence with the 2016 single 'Jungle', which placed third in Triple J's Hottest 100 and won that year's J Award for Unearthed Artist of the Year. The albums Flow State (2018) and Terra Firma (2021) followed, with Flow State taking the ARIA Award for Best Blues and Roots Album. A commanding solo performer, Sultana tours the world and once sold out Colorado's Red Rocks Amphitheatre within minutes.
