Suzi Ruffell is a British comedian, writer and actress, born in Portsmouth in 1986 to a working-class family; her father buys and sells lorries. A youth drama group shaped her choice of career, and she counted Victoria Wood, Catherine Tate, Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders as heroes. She first performed stand-up at the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts in London, having been the first in her family to attend university. She began stand-up in November 2008 and has done it full time since 2012, supporting Alan Carr, Kevin Bridges, Josh Widdicombe, Joe Lycett, Romesh Ranganathan and Katherine Ryan on national tours before her first headlining tour, Keeping It Classy, in 2018.
