Stephen Wilson Jr. is an American country and rock singer, guitarist and songwriter, raised in Seymour, Indiana. An introverted kid steered into competitive boxing by his father, he credits Golden Gloves competition with conquering his stage fright, and Tim McGraw's "Don't Take the Girl" with sparking a passion for lyrics and poetry. He spent years in the research and development department of Mars' food-science lab before leaving to write songs full time, joining Big Loud as a staff songwriter in 2016. Signed to BMG, his first release was the 2021 single "Made for This", a duet with his wife, singer Leigh Nash; the EP bon aqua and the album Son of Dad both followed in 2023.
