Spiritbox

Spiritbox are a Canadian heavy metal band from Victoria, British Columbia, publicly established in October 2017 by guitarist Mike Stringer and vocalist Courtney LaPlante, who are married; the line-up is completed by drummer Zev Rose and bassist Josh Gilbert. Stringer and LaPlante had both been in Iwrestledabearonce and were dissatisfied with their roles there, so they started Spiritbox to express themselves properly. The music is rooted in metalcore and progressive metal with electronic elements, and LaPlante's singing draws on R&B. They built a following online before ever touring, debuting live in 2020, and their first album Eternal Blue entered the Billboard 200 at number thirteen in 2021. Tsunami Sea followed in March 2025.
