About
Slap Dragon is the duo of bassist Scott Mulvahill and singer Laura Berens, who met and began writing together in the summer of 2023. Soul vocals over acoustic instruments played by Nashville session musicians make a sound that is part bluegrass, part disco and part R&B. They played their first show on June 1st, 2024 in Nashville, followed by a set at Bonnaroo; an Instagram clip of "Already Won" passed 260k views, and after a Kickstarter campaign in October 2025 the duo is releasing its debut album, Mission Statement, in 2026.
