Silverstein are a Canadian post-hardcore band formed in Burlington, Ontario, in 2000, taking their name from children's author Shel Silverstein. Fronted by vocalist Shane Told, they blend screamo-tinged melodic hardcore with emo, punk and pop sensibilities. Their 2005 album 'Discovering the Waterfront' earned a Juno nomination and reached the Billboard 200, and later records including 'A Shipwreck in the Sand' (2009) and 'A Beautiful Place to Drown' (2020) extended their run. The band has sold more than a million albums worldwide. Fixtures of the Vans Warped Tour and seasoned headliners across North America, Europe and beyond, they remain known for an intense, high-energy live show.
