Ses Snare

Ses Snare (Afrikaans for 'Six Strings') is a South African acoustic ensemble of six accomplished singer-guitarists, named for the fact that all members are guitarists. The lineup has featured Mathys Roets, Pieter Smith, Blackie Swart, Leon Ecroignard, Thean Kotze and Wouter van de Venter. Based around Pretoria, they have become one of the most successful live acts in the Afrikaans market, performing at venues such as the Pretoria National Botanical Garden and Barnyard theatres. Each member takes a turn in the spotlight, with a repertoire ranging from well-loved cover standards to original compositions in both English and Afrikaans.
