Scissor Sisters are an American pop rock band formed in New York City in 2000, fusing glam rock, nu-disco and electroclash into a flamboyant, dancefloor-ready sound. Fronted by Jake Shears and Ana Matronic and built around multi-instrumentalist Babydaddy and guitarist Del Marquis, they broke through with a disco reworking of Pink Floyd's "Comfortably Numb." Their 2004 self-titled debut was the UK's best-selling album of that year, and "I Don't Feel Like Dancin'," co-written with Elton John, topped the UK singles chart. They won three BRIT Awards in 2005, and Bono once called them the best pop group in the world. Renowned for extravagant, theatrical live shows, the band reunited in 2025 to headline Glastonbury with guests including Ian McKellen and Beth Ditto.
