Schak

Schak is Shakeil Luciano, a DJ from North Shields, Tyne and Wear, in North East England, who worked as a lifeguard and then for HM Revenue and Customs before becoming a DJ. His debut single, "Moving All Around (Jumpin')", came out on Trick Records in October 2022, sampling Kim English's "Bumpin' & Jumpin'", and was named BBC Radio 1's Hottest Record by Danny Howard. He followed it with flash-mob DJ sets in a B&Q store, on a Tyne and Wear Metro train, on the Shields Ferry, on board a bus and outside St James Park after a Newcastle United victory. He is part of the north east Mákina scene and is behind the character Nanna Makina.
