Sagar Wali Qawwali

Sagar Wali Qawwali is a contemporary qawwali and Sufi music act from Delhi, India, led by the singer and composer Sagar Bhatia. Bhatia, who was born in 1989 and grew up in a musical family, first reached wider attention on the 2014 television talent show India's Raw Star, where he finished among the top six contestants. His first public performance under the Sagar Wali Qawwali name came in July 2022, and the project pairs traditional qawwali with a more modern sensibility aimed at younger listeners. Alongside popular recreations such as "Kiven Mukhre Ton" and "Tere Jeya Hor Disda," he has released the original single "Mera Ishq" and made his playback debut with "Khudaya" in the film Sarfira. The group is known for immersive, spiritually charged live shows.
