Russell Kane is an English comedian, writer and actor, born in London in 1975 and known for a high-energy, physical stand-up style. In 2010 he won the Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Comedy Show, one of four nominations at the festival across his career, having earlier taken the Laughing Horse New Act of the Year title in 2004. On television he has hosted a string of shows including Big Brother's Big Mouth and Live at the Electric, and created the acclaimed Evil Genius series for radio and Sky History. A prolific live performer, he has played major festivals and venues such as the Hammersmith Apollo and remains a busy touring headliner.
