Roger Taylor is the drummer and backing vocalist of Queen, and a songwriter with at least one track on every album the band made. He wrote or co-wrote three UK number ones — These Are the Days of Our Lives, Innuendo and Under Pressure — alongside Radio Ga Ga and A Kind of Magic. He sings in a countertenor range, and fronted a parallel band, The Cross, through the 1980s as lead singer and rhythm guitarist. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with Queen in 2001.
