About
Robin Ince is an English comedian, actor and writer, born in 1969 and educated at Cheltenham College before studying English and Drama at Royal Holloway, University of London. He first appeared at the Edinburgh Festival in 1990, at a venue Eddie Izzard was running, and in 2001 played the Cafe Royal in the Fringe show Rubbernecker alongside Stephen Merchant, Jimmy Carr and Ricky Gervais. He opened for Gervais on the Politics and Fame tours. From 2009 to 2025 he presented BBC Radio 4's The Infinite Monkey Cage with the physicist Brian Cox, and he created Nine Lessons and Carols for Godless People and co-founded the Cosmic Shambles Network.
