Rian Brazil is a British singer-songwriter from Brighton whose genre-blurring music folds together alternative, pop and drum and bass. Raised in a household steeped in dance music — a happy-hardcore-loving mother and a drum-and-bass DJ stepfather — he cites the Streets' Mike Skinner as a touchstone for his conversational, storytelling approach to lyrics. He released his debut EP, People like u, in March 2025 via Room Two Recordings, its tracks including "Breathe", "Close 2 u" and "Smiley Grill", and drew early attention from outlets such as Clash, i-D and Dork. Brazil has built momentum through his live work, including a residency at the West London venue Laylow, where his energetic performances have helped grow his following.
