Ratboys are an American indie rock band from Chicago, formed in 2010 by lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Julia Steiner and her partner, lead guitarist Dave Sagan, who met while studying at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana. They moved to Sagan's home city of Chicago in 2015 and released their debut album AOID on Topshelf Records that year. Sean Neumann and Marcus Nuccio arrived as touring players in 2016 and 2017 and joined properly in 2020. Rolling Stone named their second album GN one of the "15 Great Albums You Probably Didn't Hear in 2017"; Printer's Devil followed in 2020, Happy Birthday, Ratboy in 2021 and The Window in 2023.
