Peter Kay

Peter Kay is an English comedian, actor and writer, born in Farnworth, Lancashire, in 1973, whose material mines the warm absurdities of everyday British life. He won Channel 4's So You Think You're Funny? in 1997 and earned a Perrier nomination at the Edinburgh Fringe the following year. On television he created and starred in Phoenix Nights and its spin-off Max and Paddy's Road to Nowhere, and later the acclaimed Car Share, collecting a National Television Award and two BAFTAs along the way. His stand-up reach is staggering: his 2010–11 tour holds the Guinness World Record as the most successful of all time, playing to over 1.14 million people. He returned to arena touring in late 2022.
