Pennines are a four-piece from Norwich who existed from 2006 to 2009, left behind a demo, an EP called Fair D’os and one side of a split with TTNG, and then found out years later that people had caught up. Henry Tremain, the singer and guitarist, went on to front TTNG after their Animals album, and the two bands share a language — clean, intricate guitar lines, vocals that sit back rather than push. The song that did it is “Whiskey Tango Foxtrot? Lima Oscar Lima!?”, which travelled a long way online after the band had stopped playing. They reformed in 2023 and have been working since. The 5 September 2026 MOTH Club show in Hackney has Avast! and Real Terms in support.
