About
The Pat Travers Band is the hard-rock and blues-rock group led by Canadian guitarist and singer Pat Travers, who began recording in the mid-1970s and formalised the band by 1978. Their run of albums includes Heat in the Street (1978), the concert set Live! Go for What You Know (1979) and Crash and Burn (1980). Signature tracks such as "Boom Boom (Out Go the Lights)," "Snortin' Whiskey" and "I La La La Love You" became staples of American rock radio, with "Snortin' Whiskey" a notable hit in 1980. Built on a reputation as a road-hardened live act, the band toured North American arenas supporting Rush and Rainbow, and Travers continues to tour internationally for a loyal following who call themselves "Hammer Heads."
