Papa Roach

Papa Roach are an American rock band from Vacaville, California, formed in 1993 when lead vocalist Jacoby Shaddix and drummer Dave Buckner met on the Vacaville High School football field. Their current line-up is Shaddix, guitarist Jerry Horton, bassist Tobin Esperance and, since 2007, drummer Tony Palermo. After signing with DreamWorks Records in 1999 they released the triple-platinum Infest in 2000, whose single "Last Resort" peaked at No. 1 on the Alternative Songs chart and was certified 6× platinum by the RIAA; "Scars", from Getting Away with Murder (2004), became their most successful mainstream hit. Regarded as one of the bands that helped define the nu metal sound, they released their eleventh studio album, Ego Trip, in 2022 on their own New Noize imprint, and in 2025 issued "Even If It Kills Me", the lead single from a twelfth.
