About
Omni are an American post-punk band from Atlanta: Philip Frobos on vocals and bass, Frankie Broyles on guitar and keyboard, and Chris Yonker on drums. Broyles played previously in Deerhunter and Balkans, Yonker in Greenscreen and Frobos in Carnivores. Their sound draws on Television, Talking Heads and Wire, built from mathematical rhythms, wiry guitar chords, nervy basslines and jolting beats. The debut album Deluxe appeared on Trouble in Mind Records in 2016, followed by Multi-Task in 2017. The band signed to Sub Pop in 2019 and released Networker that year, then Souvenir in 2024. Vice's Drew Schwartz called them the best post-punk band in America.
