Olive Grinter & Joe Shrimpling

Olive Grinter and Joe Shrimpling are good friends who discovered a shared passion for songwriting and built a collection of songs telling tales of nostalgia, friendship and whimsy. Joe's delicate, thoughtful fingerpicking — drawing on John Martyn and Nick Drake — sits under Olive's warm, sensitive vocals, which their promoter likens to Laura Marling and Norah Jones. In spring 2026 the pair and friends played sold-out shows at the Folklore Rooms in Brighton, the Wine Vaults in Bath and The Gate in Cardiff to launch their debut single, "Pause to Breathe", along with intimate acoustic gigs at the Harlequin in Sheffield, Bristol Folk House and All Roads Festival. Their debut album is Silent Strings and Colourful Wings.
