Nathan Carter is an Irish country singer born in Liverpool in 1990 to a Newry family, who took up accordion at four and won the All Ireland Title for Traditional Singing at ten before moving to Ireland at eighteen. His 2012 cover of 'Wagon Wheel' became a breakthrough hit and earned RTÉ Irish Country Music Awards, launching a career that had produced thirteen studio albums as of 2022, five of them number ones on the Irish Albums Chart. 'Beautiful Life' (2015) became his first entry on the UK Albums Chart. A celebrated live performer, Carter has won the RTÉ Live Act of the Year award and tours relentlessly across Ireland and the UK, documenting concerts at major venues on several live DVDs.
