Moneen, sometimes styled .moneen., are a Canadian indie rock band from Brampton, Ontario, formed in 1999 out of the break-up of a band called Perfectly Normal. The founding line-up was singer and guitarist Kenny Bridges, bassist Mark Bowser, drummer Peter Krpan and singer and guitarist Chris Hughes. They recorded their first EP, Smaller Chairs for the Early 1900s, in Bridges' basement, and re-released it on Smallman Records alongside The Theory of Harmonial Value. Are We Really Happy with Who We Are Right Now followed in 2003 and reached the !earshot national top 50. The band later signed to Vagrant Records and shared a split EP with Alexisonfire in 2005.
