About
Miriam "Mim" Grey is an English singer-songwriter, born in Barnet in north London. She left school at fifteen and moved in with the musicians John and Paul Williams, who encouraged her towards a career in music; she kept a jazz group, The Vodka Martinis, and released "How Did You Know" with Kurtis Mantronik in 2003 and "I Watch You" with Lee Cabrera in 2005. After Paul Williams died of pancreatic cancer she formed a writing partnership with the lyricist Cori Josias, and later met the drummer Steve Vintner, now her husband, who encouraged her to release her own records — Grey Matters in May 2010 and Chasing Tigers. Tom Jones has called her his favourite singer.
