Maxwell

Maxwell is an American singer-songwriter and one of the architects of the 1990s neo-soul movement. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he broke through with his 1996 debut Maxwell's Urban Hang Suite, a landmark, Grammy-nominated R&B album celebrated for its lush, romantic sophistication. After a long hiatus he returned with the acclaimed BLACKsummers'night (2009), which won a Grammy and confirmed his standing as a soul great. Known for his falsetto, meticulous production and magnetic live shows, Maxwell has sold millions of records and remains a headline draw on the international soul and R&B circuit.
