Max Fry is an American electronic musician, producer and songwriter from Orlando, Florida, working in an atmospheric, downtempo vein. He first made his name behind the boards as a producer before stepping forward as a singer and songwriter, a shift that carries the methodical, texture-focused instincts of his production background. He released the album Passage in 2019, followed by the EP So Close to OK in 2023 and the album More Than Dead to Me, a record that leaned into his Florida roots. Fan-favourite tracks such as "Overwinter" and "Observatory" pair electronic beats with a slow, melancholy calm. He has taken the material to the stage at venues including Minneapolis's First Avenue.
