About
Matthew Good is a Canadian musician, born in 1971, who was lead singer and songwriter of the Matthew Good Band, one of the most successful alternative rock bands in Canada in the 1990s and early 2000s. He and guitarist Simon Woodcock were discovered at an open mic at Simon Fraser University, and in 1994 he won 99.3 The Fox's Seeds competition for Vancouver bands. Since the band disbanded in 2002 he has pursued a solo career and become a political commentator and mental health activist; between 1996 and 2016 he was the 25th best-selling Canadian artist in Canada, and he has been nominated for 21 Juno Awards, winning four. His EP Zero Hours came out on October 3, 2025.
