Marco Antonio Solis

Marco Antonio Solís is a Mexican singer, songwriter and producer born in 1959 in Ario de Rosales, Michoacán, and a towering figure of Latin popular music. He co-founded the group Los Bukis in 1975, fronting the band as lead vocalist and chief songwriter for nearly two decades before launching a solo career in 1996 with En Pleno Vuelo. Working across grupero, cumbia, mariachi and Latin pop, he has logged more than thirty entries on Billboard's Hot Latin Tracks chart and won five Latin Grammy Awards. He received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2010 and was named the Latin Recording Academy's Person of the Year in 2022. Across Mexico, Latin America, Spain and the United States, he remains a beloved arena draw.
