Magic Number are a London-based vocal trio — Nick Siepmann, Ailsa Mainwaring and Paul Kendler — led, by their own account, by curiosity and a love of singing together. Their repertoire sets contemporary British folk alongside centuries-old Georgian polyphony, sung in resonant close harmony and delivered with warmth and artistry. For an intimate winter's night at the Green Note they add some unusual carols, both sacred and secular.
