Madeon is Hugo Pierre Leclercq, a French musician, DJ and producer from Nantes, based in Los Angeles. He arrived fully formed at 17 with "Pop Culture", a YouTube video in which he performed a real-time mash-up of 39 popular songs on a Novation Launchpad; it drew millions of hits within days. He names the Beatles and Daft Punk as his greatest influences. The EP The City came in 2012, the album Adventure in 2015 with a 22-stop North American tour behind it, and Good Faith in 2019, which was nominated for Best Electronic Album at the 2021 Grammy Awards.
