Low Steppa is the alias of William Rudi Bailey, a British DJ and producer from the West Midlands who works at the heart of contemporary house music. Known for bass-driven, soulful club tracks, he founded the label Simma Black to champion emerging talent, and has released and remixed for imprints including Defected and Armada. His single 'Runnin'' has drawn tens of millions of streams, and in August 2020 he recorded his debut BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix. A regular on the Ibiza circuit, he has held sets across Defected's island residencies, including celebrated back-to-back appearances with Sonny Fodera. On the road he is valued as a high-energy house selector, headlining clubs and festivals across the UK and internationally.
