Loreen is a Swedish singer and songwriter, born Lorine Zineb Nora Talhaoui in Stockholm in 1983 to Moroccan Berber parents and raised in Västerås. Working in a dance-pop style, she first appeared on Swedish Idol in 2004 before finding global fame at the Eurovision Song Contest. She won the contest twice, with "Euphoria" in 2012 and "Tattoo" in 2023, becoming the first woman and only the second performer ever to triumph twice. "Euphoria" reached number three on the UK singles chart, the highest placing for a non-UK Eurovision entry in decades, and she took the 2012 MTV Europe Music Award. In 2024 Sweden awarded her its Music Export Prize. Loreen is a commanding festival and arena performer known for dramatic, high-concept staging.
