Lizz Meiring

Lizz Meiring (born Elizabeth Henriette Meiring, 9 December 1961 in Pretoria) is a South African actress, comedienne, playwright, director and producer who works primarily in Afrikaans. She studied drama at the University of Pretoria, earning a BA Drama (Hons) degree in 1983. Nicknamed 'Bizzie Lizzie' for working on many productions at once, she has appeared in hundreds of stage, television and film productions and has written and directed numerous plays in both Afrikaans and English. She won a Naledi Award in 2004 for best performance by an actress in a supporting role.
