Kenneth Lee Lattimore is an American singer and songwriter from Washington, D.C., known for a smooth, soulful voice and for romantic ballads. He sang in school and church choirs, is an alumnus of Howard University, and fronted the R&B group Maniquin before signing with Columbia Records at the end of 1994. His self-titled 1996 debut reached gold on the strength of "Never Too Busy" and the Grammy-nominated "For You", and won him Best New Artist at the NAACP Image Awards. From the Soul of Man followed in 1998 and Weekend in 2001, and he made two duet albums with Chanté Moore. The New York Times called him a "modern soul man" on stage; in 2024 he was inducted into the Rhythm and Blues Music Hall of Fame.
