Kasabian are an English rock band formed in Leicester in 1997, fusing indie rock with electronic and space-rock textures. Built originally around Tom Meighan, Sergio Pizzorno, Chris Karloff and Chris Edwards, the group is now led by Pizzorno, alongside Edwards, drummer Ian Matthews and guitarist Tim Carter. Across eight studio albums from 2004 onward — including West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum, 48:13 and Happenings — they became one of Britain's biggest festival draws. Their honours include the 2010 Brit Award for Best British Group and NME awards for Best Live Act, and they headlined Glastonbury in 2014. Loud, swaggering and anthemic, Kasabian are best known as a formidable live act built for big stages.
