Kabomo Vilakazi, who performs simply as Kabomo, is a South African singer and actor born in Benoni, Gauteng in 1978. He works across an unusual number of forms: besides music and acting he is a writer, poet, editor, rapper, producer and artist manager. His first single, "Uzobuya", came out in 2012, and success arrived with the albums All Things Grey and Sekusile. On screen he is known for Zabalaza, Sink and Seriously Single, the last released on Netflix in 2020. He has directed two feature films, Droplets and Melody, and written songs for singers including Tshepo Tshola, Kelly Khumalo and Unathi.
