K-Trap is Devonte Kasi Martin Perkins, a rapper and songwriter born in the Lambeth area of south London in October 1995 and one of the more prominent voices in UK drill. He began taking music seriously in 2015, spent two years in jail before being found not guilty, and entered the scene in 2017 with the mixtape The Last Whip, which featured Blade Brown, Headie One and Potter Payper. The Re-Up followed in 2018 and became his first entry on the UK Albums Chart. He wore a balaclava to conceal his identity until June 2019, when he removed it in the video for "Big Mood" to promote No Magic. His 2023 mixtape with Headie One, Strength to Strength, reached number four on the UK Albums Chart.
