Josh Turner is an American country singer from Hannah, South Carolina, born in 1977 and known for a deep bass-baritone voice honed singing in church gospel quartets. He debuted at the Grand Ole Opry in 2001 with "Long Black Train," signed to MCA Nashville in 2003 and became one of the Opry's youngest members in 2007. His neotraditional style, touched by bluegrass and gospel, yielded number-one hits including "Your Man," "Would You Go with Me" and "Why Don't We Just Dance," while "Time Is Love" was Billboard's top country song of 2012. A devout Christian who has also recorded gospel and Christmas albums, Turner remains a steady, warm-voiced presence on the country touring circuit.
