Josh Groban is an American singer, songwriter and actor, born in Los Angeles in 1981, working in a classical-crossover and operatic-pop style. He has sold more than 25 million records worldwide, and in 2007 was named the best-selling artist in the United States. His albums include Josh Groban (2001), Closer (2003), Awake (2006), the multi-platinum holiday record Noel (2007) and Stages (2015). Beyond recording, he made his Broadway debut in 2016 in Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812 and returned in 2023 in Sweeney Todd, earning Tony nominations for both. Live, Groban is a seasoned international touring artist with wide crossover appeal, and he mounted a Las Vegas residency in 2025. He is best known for his rich, resonant baritone and lush, orchestral concert staging.
