About
José Madero, better known as Pepe Madero, is a Mexican singer and writer, originally from Monterrey and a lifelong resident of San Pedro Garza García, Nuevo León. He grew up on glam, punk, grunge and alternative rock, learned guitar, and fronted PXNDX, which emerged in 1996; he graduated in law from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey in 2003 but set the profession aside. Since 2016 he has mainly worked solo. He has published three books, among them Pensándolo bien, pensé mal and the children's horror title Pesadillas para cenar, and hosts the weekly podcast Dos Nombres comunes.
