Jejune

Jejune are an American emo band formed in 1996 at Berklee College of Music in Boston by Arabella Harrison, Joe Guevara and Chris Vanacore. Emerging during emo's mid-1990s second wave, their music blended indie rock, power pop, punk and shoegaze into something more melancholy and melodic than the label suggests. The band relocated to San Diego in 1997 and released two albums on Big Wheel Recreation, alongside several splits, before disbanding in 2000 and closing with the posthumous R.I.P. Their catalogue was later reissued by the Numero Group, prompting a 2025 return and their first shows in more than 25 years. On stage they were a fixture of the era's West Coast circuit, once opening for At the Drive-In in San Francisco.
