James Marais

James Marais is a Cape Town-based Elvis Presley tribute artist widely billed as one of South Africa's foremost Elvis performers. Named SA's top Elvis tribute artist at Elvis Festival Africa 2010, he represented the country at the Elvis World Cup in Wales, placing fourth. His shows cover Presley's full career, from 1950s rock 'n' roll through the 1968 comeback to the 1970s Las Vegas era, complete with period costumes and dance moves. He has staged productions including 'The Ultimate Tribute to the King' and 'From Memphis to Las Vegas', the latter often performed with partner Monique Cassells.
