I Prevail got their break from a metal cover of Taylor Swift's Blank Space, posted in 2014 and eventually certified platinum, which is an unusual way for a band from Southfield to arrive. The albums have come steadily since the Heart vs. Mind EP: Lifelines, Trauma, True Power and Violent Nature. Trauma earned a nomination for the Grammy for Best Rock Album, and its single Bow Down one for Best Metal Performance. Eric Vanlerberghe and Steve Menoian are the two constants.
