Hunter Hayes is an American singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, born in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, in 1991 and reportedly proficient on more than thirty instruments. Emerging from a Cajun musical upbringing, he broke through with his 2011 self-titled debut, which topped the country albums chart, and its single 'Wanted,' which made him the youngest solo male act to top Hot Country Songs. His music ranges across country, pop, R&B and rock, and later releases include Storyline, Wild Blue and Red Sky. He has earned five Grammy nominations, including Best New Artist, and won the CMA New Artist of the Year award in 2012. A seasoned touring musician who has opened for Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood, Hayes is known for versatile, instrument-hopping live sets.
