Hope & Social, stylised Hope&Social, are a rock band based in Leeds. They formed in 2008, when the members of Four Day Hombre announced a change of name — "same line-up, but with a different approach and sound" — and they are characterised by a "Pay What You Want" approach to their music. Architect of This Church, released in June 2009 after two years and more than sixteen thousand man hours of work, was sold from their own website for whatever the buyer thought it was worth. They played Glastonbury twice in 2009 as finalists in its Emerging Talent Competition, and opened the 2014 Tour de France ceremony at Leeds Arena with The Band Anyone Can Join, a hundred local people.
