Harriet Kemsley is an English stand-up comedian, born in 1987 and raised in Canterbury, Kent, who studied English literature at Kingston University. She began stand-up in 2011 and won the Funny's Funny contest within months; in 2012 she took New Act of the Year at both the Bath and Brighton comedy festivals and Rhod Gilbert named her one of the ten must-see comics of the year. The Guardian reviewed her autobiographical solo show Slutty Joan positively. She hosted the podcast Why Is Harriet Crying? with Sunil Patel from 2018 to 2022, has appeared on 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown and Roast Battle, and voiced Nashandra in Dark Souls II.
