Gia Margaret is an American singer-songwriter and record producer from Chicago, now signed to Jagjaguwar. She was trained in classical piano as a child and started a music degree, but abandoned both as creatively limiting, and worked as a nanny, a bookshop clerk and a dental assistant before making music for a living. Her debut album There's Always Glimmer appeared in July 2018 and was re-released in May 2019 with two extra tracks, "Smoke (Acoustic)" and "Babies". She toured the United States with the Welsh singer-songwriter Novo Amor in 2019, recording "Lucky for You" and "No Fun" with him along the way, played SXSW that year and then headlined in the UK for the first time.
