Geoffrey Keezer is an American jazz pianist, born in Eau Claire in 1970 to a professional French horn player and a composer and percussionist on the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire faculty. He was playing in jazz clubs as a teenager, joined Art Blakey at eighteen, and toured in his twenties with Joshua Redman, Benny Golson and Ray Brown. He has since worked with David Sanborn, Chris Botti, Joe Locke and Christian McBride, and drawn on Hawaiian, Okinawan and Afro-Peruvian folk traditions in his own records. Áurea was nominated for a Latin jazz Grammy in 2009, and in 2023 he won Best Instrumental Composition for "Refuge".
